Van Heusen-GQ Fashion Nights – Day 1

Van Heusen and GQ collaborated to give us the “Fashion Nights” dedicated to Men’s fashion. Day 1 had a wide range of designers that displayed their collection. With Randeep Hooda, Armaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, Tina Desai And Saif Ali Khan being the showstoppers, this
fashion extravaganza was not to be missed. Day 1 consisted showcasing of designs by famous designers like Troy Costa, Shantanu and Nikhil, Raghavendra Rathore and of course Van Heusen’s own collection.

Here’s a summary of what was supposedly a dapper evening!

Shantanu and Nikhil

Shantanu and Nikhil were the one to launch the event with their designs, and what a way to do that, the Freedom speech by Jawaharlal Nehru was played, and after that the model entered. They showcased a special era of 1946, Pre-Independence collection. Their collection consisted of stylish Nehru Jackets and Bandhgalas. With Armaan and Ayaan Ali Khan as their show stoppers, the styling found its peak.

Raghavendra Rathore

Raghavendra’s collection consisted of royal Bandhgala with a twist, also known as the boiler suits. The showstopper for the collection couldn’t have been anyone other than the Nawab, Saif Ali Khan himself, who gracefully donned the attire yet looking a class apart!

Troy Costa

This one’s been the talk of the evening. For somebody who dresses the First Man of India, our very own Prime Minister, Mr.Narendra Modi, you would be a fool to miss his collection. His collection consisted an awesome collection of blazers and suits. A varied range of color, checks and fabrics were on the menu. With Randeep Hooda and Tina Desai show stopping for him, the ensemble just looked twice as gorgeous!

Special Mention of Kunal Kapoor as well who carried Van Heusen’s collection with a superior confidence.

Day 2 of the Van Heusen GQ Fashion Nights will be featured tomorrow. Make sure to read that too. Adios!
